Ukrainian army to get over 30,000 long-range drones in 2025: Minister

Kyiv, Dec 6 (IANS) The Ukrainian army is set to receive more than 30,000 Deep Strike combat drones next year, Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said. "These next-generation drones can operate autonomously over long distances and strike enemy targets with high precision," Umerov wrote on Thursday on Facebook. The delivery of the drones is a part of the "Resilience Plan" unveiled last month by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Umerov noted. IndiGo refutes report which rated it among world’s worst airlines

New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS) Low-cost airline IndiGo on Wednesday refuted findings of a report which claimed that IndiGo has been ranked among the world's worst airlines this year. The ‘AirHelp Score report 2024’ placed the domestic carrier near the bottom at 103rd place out of 109 analysed. The report also ranked Air India at 61st and AirAsia at 94th. Spain, Germany to take part in DHL plane crash investigation

Vilnius, Nov 26 (IANS) Investigators from Germany and Spain will join the Lithuanian authorities to find out what caused a DHL plane crash in Vilnius, Laurynas Naujokaitis, director of Lithuanian Justice Ministry's Transport Accident and Incident Investigation Division, said. Jakarta, Nov 14 (IANS) Mount Ibu, located in Indonesia's North Maluku province, erupted on Thursday, sending a column of ash up to 3 km high and prompting the second-highest aviation alert, according to the Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center. Boeing 787 turns back to Rome after engine fire

Rome, Nov 11 (IANS) A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner operated by Hainan Airlines was forced to return to Rome's Fiumicino Airport shortly after takeoff following an engine fire. New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS) Singapore Airlines is poised to invest Rs 3,194.5 crore in Air India following the anticipated merger of Vistara with the Tata Group-owned airline.
