Bomb threat diverts Vistara flight to Frankfurt

New Delhi, Oct 19 (IANS) A Vistara flight bound for London from Delhi, was diverted to Frankfurt after a bomb threat. It has landed safely at Frankfurt Airport, the airline said on Saturday. Mandatory security checks were being carried out. Once these checks are completed, the flight will continue its journey to London. Qatar Airways to buy minority stake in Virgin Australia

Three dead in helicopter crash in Spain

Madrid, Sep 30 (IANS) Three people died when the helicopter they were travelling in collided with power lines near a town located in Spain. No respite for troubled SpiceJet as NCLT issues notice over another insolvency plea

New Delhi, Sep 23 (IANS) The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Monday issued a notice to embattled low-cost carrier SpiceJet over a petition by Techjockey Infotech Pvt Ltd, one of its operational creditors. Software solutions startup Techjockey Infotech filed an insolvency case against cash-strapped airline SpiceJet for an alleged default of around Rs 1.18 crore. The petition was filed under section 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. It aims to initiate insolvency proceedings against the airline for default that stems from a 2021 agreement wherein SpiceJet acquired cloud services. Moscow, Sep 10 (IANS) Flights were delayed at three major Moscow airports after a drone attack in the Moscow region on Tuesday, the state media reported. Indonesia: Plane skids off runway in Papua, injuring several

Jayapura, Sep 9 (IANS) A plane carrying 48 people skidded off the runway in Indonesia's Papua region on Monday morning, according to local police. The incident resulted in injuries to several passengers, although all on board survived. Air India to operate Vistara planes as FDI nod for merger comes through

Mumbai, Aug 30 (IANS) Full-service airline Vistara announced on Friday that its aircraft would be operated by Air India from November as the government's FDI approval for the merger between the two airlines has come through. From September 3, it will not be possible to book with Vistara for travel on or after November 12, according to a statement issued by Vistara. Australia’s Qantas profits dip to $848 million

Sydney, Aug 29 (IANS) Australia's national airline Qantas on Thursday posted a 28 per cent fall in its post-tax profit to $848 million in the 2023-24 financial year. Chief Executive Vanessa Hudson handed down the airline's results for the 2023-24 financial year spanning from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, revealing a post-tax profit of $848.2 million, down from a record-high $1.18 billion in 2022-23, Xinhua news agency reported.
