South Korea: Jeju Air to reduce flight operations in response to safety concerns

Seoul, Jan 2 (IANS) Jeju Air Co. on Thursday said it plans to reduce flight operations as early as next week in response to growing concerns over the safety of flights operated by the leading low-cost carrier in the wake of this week's fatal crash. Air India launches inflight Wi-Fi services on domestic routes

South Korea: 174 out of 179 killed in plane crash identified, safety inspection underway

Seoul, Dec 31 (IANS) The remains of 174 of the 179 people killed in this week's Jeju Air plane crash have tentatively been identified, the land ministry said on Tuesday. India’s domestic air traffic posts double-digit growth in November

New Delhi, Dec 25 (IANS) India’s commercial airlines flew 1.42 crore passengers on domestic routes in November this year, which represents a robust 12 per cent increase compared to the same month in the previous year, according to figures compiled by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Passenger plane crashes in Kazakhstan; survivors reported

Aktau (Kazakhstan), Dec 25 (IANS) A passenger plane carrying over 100 people crashed near Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, according to reports from the country's Emergencies Ministry. Fiji Airways resumes commercial flights to quake-hit Vanuatu

Suva, Dec 23 (IANS) Fiji Airways restarted commercial passenger operations to Port Vila, capital of Vanuatu, on Monday, after days of suspension following the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that hit Vanuatu on December 17. Qantas agrees on USD 76 million compensation for illegally dismissed workers

Sydney, Dec 18 (IANS) Australia's flag airline Qantas has agreed to pay compensation to over 1800 workers who were illegally dismissed during the Covid-19 pandemic. The carrier announced that it has reached an agreement with the Transport Workers Union (TWU) to pay the former ground handlers a combined 120 million Australian dollars (76 million US dollars).
