Heavy rains hit operations at Mumbai Airport, 27 flights diverted

Mumbai, July 8 (IANS) As many as 27 flights were diverted from Mumbai airport on Monday, and several have been delayed due to heavy rains and low visibility, according to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSIA). The airport management said flights were diverted to Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Indore. Priority is being given to arrivals, delaying departures, and consequential changes that were made to accommodate diverted flights. Air India Express flight’s engine catches fire, makes emergency landing

New Delhi, May 19, The Air India Express flight from Bengaluru to Kochi had to make a full-scale emergency landing at Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) due to a fire in one of its engines. Air India flight dodges tug tractor collision at Pune airport, passengers safe

Domestic air traffic marginally came down in April: ICRA

Chennai, May 10, The domestic air passenger traffic last month marginally came down to about 132.8 lakh from about 133.7 lakh logged in March 2024, said ICRA in a research report. ICRA report also said the domestic aviation industry is likely to close FY25 with a net loss of Rs 30-40 billion in FY2025. The DGCA has revised the Air Transport Circular (ATC)-01 of 2024, titled ‘Unbundle of Services and fees by scheduled airlines’, introducing several changes aimed at enhancing passenger experience and addressing concerns regarding seating arrangements, particularly for children. Air India suspends flights to Tel Aviv till April 30 over Iran-Israel conflict
