Paris: At the 52nd Paris Air Show, India's presence was marked with only a chalet of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited where the Indian flag bravely competed for attention with those of 2,300 exhibitors from 47 countries spread over giant exhibition halls. F-35 joint strike fighters make Australian debut

Canberra: The Lockheed Martin F-35 joint strike fighters (JSFs) have arrived in Australia for the first time, a media report said on Tuesday.The JSFs arrived overnight in preparation for their public debut at the Avalon Airshow in Victoria later during the week, Xinhua news agency said. The F-35 was widely criticised by military experts and politicians over the last few years, as the programme was plagued by delays and cost blowouts since it was first announced in 2001. Russian cargo craft arrives at space station

Washington: The unpiloted Russian Progress 66 cargo ship docked at the Pirs Docking Compartment of the International Space Station on Friday, NASA said. "Today's arrival of the Progress 66 cargo craft, just 24 hours after the capture of the Space X Dragon, makes four spaceships at the International Space Station," the US space agency said. Turkish Airlines plans to expand operations in India

Istanbul: Describing India as a favoured market, Turkish Airlines' Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Ilker Ayci said on Tuesday that the company is keen on expanding its operations to various parts in India like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Moscow: Russian atomic power corporation Rosatom is looking forward to participating in the Make in India programme and assembly of fuel rods and control system components appear to be on the cards, an official said.Oleg A. Nepal to probe Air Kasthamandap plane accident

Kathmandu: A day after an Air Kasthamandap plane crash-landed in Nepal, the country s government has formed a four-member commission to probe the incident in Kalikot district. Missing Nepal aircraft may have crashed: Reports

Kathmandu: An aircraft with 20 passengers, among them two children and two foreigners, and three crew members on board which went missing in Nepal on Wednesday morning may have crashed, media reported. False bomb alarm at Rome airport

Rome : Air traffic was disrupted for hours at the Fiumicino Rome airport in Italy Wednesday evening due to a false bomb alarm on a Niki flight bound for Vienna, media reported. Singapore Airlines to operate A380 aircraft from May

New Delhi : Singapore Airlines Monday said it will deploy Airbus A380 - the world's largest passenger aircraft - on select routes in India from May. "A380 superjumbo will operate daily to both Mumbai and New Delhi with effect from May 30, 2014, taking over from two daily flights that currently serve each city using smaller Boeing 777s," the airline said in a statement. "Another daily flight will continue to be operated with B777s. In total, 14 flights will serve each city per week."
