Air variant of BrahMos missile test fired from Sukhoi jet

New Delhi: India on Wednesday successfully test fired the air variant of BrahMos missile from a Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet to hit a sea-based target in the Bay of Bengal.BrahMos, the world's fastest supersonic cruise missile with a multi-platform, multi-mission role, is now capable of being launched from land, sea and air, completing the tactical cruise missile triad for India. HAL Signs MoU with Government; Aims Higher Revenue

New Delhi: HAL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the financial year 2017-18 with Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Delhi yesterday. The annual MoU was signed between Mr Ashok Kumar Gupta, Secretary, Department of Defence Production and Mr T Suvarna Raju, CMD-HAL. The MoU outlines targets on various performance parameters of the Company during the year 2017-18. The revenue from operations has been targeted at Rs. 17,900 crores, the highest ever. Reliance Defence delivers newly built Panamax bulk carrier

Mumbai: Ship building and repair infrastructure major Reliance Defence and Engineering Limited (RDEL) on Thursday said it has built and delivered an "Ice-class Panamax Bulk Carrier" -- 'Golden Opal -- to an international customer.According to RDEL, it successfully delivered the 73,500 DWT (deadweight tonnage) bulk carrier on June 21, 2017, to one of the largest international shipping companies. Rudy flies Rafale at Aero India

Bengaluru: Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Wednesday flew a Rafale fighter jet at Aero India. Turkish Airlines plans to expand operations in India

Istanbul: Describing India as a favoured market, Turkish Airlines' Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Ilker Ayci said on Tuesday that the company is keen on expanding its operations to various parts in India like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. India must end dependence on weaponry imports: Modi

India successfully test fires exo-atmospheric missile interceptor

Bhubaneswar : India Sunday successfully test-fired an exo-atmospheric missile interceptor for the first time at a defence base in Odisha as part of its efforts to create a shield against incoming enemy missiles, a senior defence official said. The indigenous Advanced Air Defence (AAD) interceptor missile was fired from Wheeler Island off the coast near Dhamra port in Bhadrak district, about 170 km from here. India test fires n-capable Agni-V missile

Bhubaneswar : India Sunday successfully test fired its longest-range Agni-V nuclear-capable missile for the second time in less than one and a half years, defence ministry sources said. It was fired from the Inner Wheeler Island, a launch site at Bhadrak, about 200 km from Bhubaneswar. The missile can hit targets deep inside China and Pakistan, the sources said.
