DRDO successfully conducts flight test of ‘Abhyas’

New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Monday conducted successfully flight test of ‘Abhyas, a high-speed expendable aerial target (HEAT), which offers a realistic threat scenario for practice of weapon systems. The flight test was conducted at the Interim Test Range, Chandipur, in Odisha. It was tracked by various radars and electro-optic systems and proved its performance in fully autonomous waypoint navigation mode, an official release said. DRDO successfully conducts 3rd Pinaka rocket test

New Delhi: Defence Research and Defence Organisation (DRDO) todaysuccessfully test fired the Guided PINAKA from Pokhran ranges. The weapon system is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance kit comprising of an advanced navigation and control system. In both the missions, the weapon systems impacted the intended targets with high precision and achieved desired accuracies. Telemetry Systems tracked and monitored the vehicle all through the flight path. All the mission objectives have been met. The indigenously developed Guided Pinaka by DRDO will significantly boost the capability of the artillery to make precision hits.

ISRO to launch defence satellite in March for DRDO

Chennai: In a special mission in March, the Indian space agency will launch an electronic intelligence satellite Emisat for the DRDO, 28 third party satellites and also demonstrate its new technologies like three different orbits with a new variant of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket, said a top official. SECOND FLIGHT TEST OF MPATGM SUCCESSFUL

New Delhi: Indigenously developed Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM), was successfully flight tested for the second time from the Ahmednagar range today. All the mission objectives have been met. The two missions on 15 and 16 September 2018 have been successfully flight tested for different ranges including the maximum range capability. Raksha Mantri Smt Nirmala Sitharaman congratulated the team DRDO, Indian Army and associated Industries for the twin success of MPATGM weapon system.

DAC Approves Acquisition worth Rs 3,687 cr. Including NAG Missiles

New Delhi: The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by the Raksha Mantri Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, met today and accorded approval to Capital Acquisition Proposals of the Services valued at over Rs 3,687 crore. In a boost to indigenisation and in realisation of India's growing technological prowess, the DAC approved procurement of Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO’s) designed and developed NAG Missile System (NAMIS) at the cost of Rs 524 crore. DRDO SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS INTERCEPTOR MISSILE TEST

New Delhi: Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) System of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully scored a direct hit on incoming missile today at around 09:45 am from Dr Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha. Akash missile tested with indigenous radio frequency seeker

New Delhi: Surface-to-air missile Akash was successfully test fired on Tuesday with an indigenous radio frequency seeker, an official said. India successfully test fires subsonic cruise missile Nirbhay

Chandipur (Odisha): India on Tuesday successfully test-fired its indigenous subsonic cruise missile Nirbhay, which failed its last test in December 2015, an official statement said. In a major achievement, the first indigenously-designed and developed Long Range Sub-Sonic Cruise Missile which can be deployed from multiple platforms, was successfully test fired from the Integrated Test Range here in Odisha.
