Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) System has achieved a major milestone by a direct hit on to a Banshee Pilotless target aircraft at medium range & medium altitude. The missile launch took place from ITR Chandipur on 13th Nov 2020 at 1550 hrs off the Odisha Coast. The missile is propelled by a single stage solid propellant rocket motor and uses all indigenous subsystems. Washington: Earth's global surface temperatures in 2018 were the fourth warmest since 1880 and the planet will warm further, especially since greenhouse gas emissions are continuing to rise, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have said. Global temperatures in 2018 were 0.83 degrees Celsius warmer than the 1951 to 1980, according to scientists at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York. Akash missile tested with indigenous radio frequency seeker

New Delhi: Surface-to-air missile Akash was successfully test fired on Tuesday with an indigenous radio frequency seeker, an official said. The missile was successfully launched from the Launch Complex-III at Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Odisha around 1.40 p.m. "The radars, telemetry and electro-optical systems along the coast have tracked and monitored all the health parameters of the missile," said a statement.This is the first surface-to-air missile with indigenous seeker that has been test fired."With this success, India has achieved the capability of making any type of surface-to-air missile," the statement said.
