Kathmandu, March 3 (IANS) Nepal-India border checkpoints have been closed for 72 hours, starting from midnight Monday, as part of election security measures ahead of the Nepal parliamentary elections on Thursday. There is a tradition of closing border points between the two countries to ensure that 'unwanted elements' do not disrupt elections whenever polls are held, in either Nepal or India.
