San Francisco, Dec 7 (IANS) Elon Musk-run SpaceX has announced a new government-focused satellite internet service called Starshield with a focus on "national security". Starshield leverages SpaceX's Starlink technology and launch capability to support national security efforts, the company said on its website. While Starlink is designed for consumer and commercial use, Starshield is designed for government use, with an initial focus on three areas: Earth observation, communications and hosted payloads.
