India successfully tests anti-tank guided missile Nag, ready for induction in Army

New Delhi: India successfully carried out the final trial of anti-tank guided missile -- Nag -- on Thursday. The missile will be inducted soon in the India Army. In 2008, Ministry of Defence approved procurement of 300 Nag missiles and 25 missile carriers for Army. The test was carried out at 6.45 a.m. at the Pokhran field firing ranges in Rajasthan, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) said.The missile was integrated with the actual warhead and a tank target was kept at designated range. ‘Allegations in Rafael Aircraft Deal Unfounded and Damaging’

New Delhi:The ministry of defence in a press statement today has termed the allegations into the Rafale Aircraft deal with France as unfounded. According to the release, ‘unfounded allegations are being made regarding the 2016 Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) to procure 36 Rafale aircraft in fly-away condition from France.  This would normally not have merited a response but for the serious damage being caused by the misleading statements, sought to be repeatedly perpetrated on a serious matter of national security.’ It ought to be remembered that it was under the ten-year tenure of the previous Government at the Centre that the earlier…
