Israel strikes Hezbollah command centres in southern Lebanon

Jerusalem, June 29 (IANS) The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) said Monday that it has struck three Hezbollah command centres in southern Lebanon in response to Hezbollah violations of the ceasefire agreement. It also said that Israeli forces struck and dismantled a launcher used by Hezbollah. In an earlier statement, the IDF said it had destroyed an underground Hezbollah tunnel in southwestern Lebanon, Xinhua news agency reported. Israel launches air strike on Lebanon: Military source

Beirut, Oct 16, Israeli warplanes raided the outskirts of the town of Marwahin by firing two air-to-surface missiles in southern Lebanon, Lebanese military sources told media. According to unnamed military sources, a thick plume of black smoke rose from the targetted area while Israeli military and reconnaissance aircraft were still flying over Lebanon's airspace. Sitharaman lists progress on key G20 issues during India’s presidency

Washington, April 14, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday expressed satisfaction with the progress on multiple subjects that were discussed at the second meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bankers that took place here under the presidency of India, including the vexatious issue of sovereign debt servicing. Cambodia dispatches new batch of UN peacekeepers to Lebanon

Phnom Penh, Feb 6 (IANS) Cambodia sent the 13th batch of 216 peacekeepers to join a UN mission in Lebanon. The military multi-skilled engineering group would substitute the 12th batch, whose one-year term had come to an end, Gen. Sem Sovanny, director-general of the National Centre for Peacekeeping Forces, said during a farewell ceremony held at the Phnom Penh international airport late Sunday night, reports Xinhua news agency.
