Tech Mahindra bags Rs 400 cr contract from HAL

Bengaluru: IT major Tech Mahindra on Thursday said it has inked a Rs 400-crore contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to support the defence PSU's "Project Parivartan" to streamline and standardise its business processes across the organisation.As per the contract, Tech Mahindra will be responsible for the transformation and modernisation of HAL's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Project Parivartan is a comprehensive business integration exercise driven to achieve a centralized ERP for HAL. Fire in Bengaluru HAL scrap yard; no casualty

Bengaluru: A massive fire broke out in the scrap yard of state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) factory in the city's eastern suburb, an official said on Wednesday. No casualty was reported. "A fire broke out in the scrap yard of foundry and forge division of our factory earlier in the day due to the presence of magnesium metal in it. HAL unions to go on strike for wage revision from Oct 14

Bengaluru: State-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) on Friday said trade unions of its employees issued an indefinite strike notice effective from October 14 at its 9 locations in seven states across the country for wage revision since January 2017. Cash-strapped HAL takes Rs 962-crore overdraft

Bengaluru: Cash-strapped state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) on Sunday said it had taken an overdraft of Rs 962 crore."With anticipated collection up to March, the cash position is expected to improve. Orders for LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) Mark 1A 83 and LCH (Light Combat Helicopter) 15 are in advanced stages," said the city-based defence behemoth in a tweet from its official Twitter account. Bengaluru: The Government owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited records a turnover of over Rs. 18,000 crores (provisional and unaudited) for the year ending March 31, 2018 (corresponding figure for the previous year was Rs. 17,605 crores). The Company expects continued “Excellent” MoU rating for the FY 2017-18 from Government of India on meeting all the relevant parameters related to its performance. Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a Rs 6,100 crore contract to supply 41 Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) to the Indian Army and one to the Navy, an official statement said on Monday.
