Mars comes closer to Earth for millions via ESA live-streaming

London, June 3 (IANS) In a first, the European Space Agency (ESA) live-streamed historic live images directly from Mars on YouTube. The historic images were also shared on ESA's Twitter account. It took about 18 minutes for images to travel directly from Mars to Earth for the live-streaming late on Friday. The live-streaming link, which is still available on YouTube, from Mars celebrated the 20th anniversary of the launch of ESA's Mars Express orbiter. Raja Chari to lead SpaceX mission to ISS

Washington: NASA and European Space Agency (ESA) have selected three astronauts, including Indian-American Raja Chari, to serve as crew members for SpaceX Crew-3 mission to the International Space Station (ISS), which is expected to launch in the autumn of 2021. Raja Chari will serve as commander while NASA's Tom Marshburn will be pilot and ESA's Matthias Maurer will serve as a mission specialist, NASA said on Monday.
