High Court of Karnataka Orders HAL Employees to Call-off Strike

Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka has passed an interim order today restraining the Hindustan Aeronautics Employees Association (HAEA), its office bearers/workmen from continuing their ongoing strike including go-slow, work to rule or any form of agitation or disrupting day-to-day activities of HAL and its offices in Bengaluru. It is now obligatory for the HAEA to immediately call-off the strike and resume the work, failing which it would amount to contempt of the court. HAL unions to go on strike for wage revision from Oct 14

Bengaluru: State-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) on Friday said trade unions of its employees issued an indefinite strike notice effective from October 14 at its 9 locations in seven states across the country for wage revision since January 2017. "The All India HAL Trade Unions Coordination Committee has issued an indefinite strike notice from October 14 at our nine locations across the country for revised wage settlement with effective from January 2017," said the state-run defence behemoth in a statement here.
