DRDO’s chaff technology to safeguard naval ships from missile attack

New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed an advanced chaff technology which will protect naval ships against enemy missile attack. Defence laboratory Jodhpur (DLJ), a DRDO laboratory, has indigenously developed three variants of this critical technology, namely Short Range Chaff Rocket (SRCR), Medium Range Chaff Rocket (MRCR) and Long Range Chaff Rocket (LRCR) meeting Indian Navy's qualitative requirements. Recently, Indian Navy conducted trials of all three variants in the Arabian Sea on Indian Naval Ship and found the performance satisfactory. DRDO installs disinfection chamber at AIIMS on trial basis

New Delhi: In the ongoing fight against COVID-19 pandemic, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has installed its newly developed full body disinfection chamber at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).The chamber will help in controlling the spread of coronavirus. A senior DRDO officer told IANS, "It has been installed on trial basis. We are looking how it is working." All the mission objectives have been met. India test fires Prithvi II missile

Bhubaneswar: India on Friday successfully test fired its indigenous nuclear-capable Prithvi-II missile from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Odisha.The surface-to-surface medium range ballistic missile was fired from a mobile launcher from launch complex-3 of ITR at around 9.50 a.m., official sources said.
