Russian forces make significant progress in Kharkiv: Defence Ministry

Moscow, May 13, Russian armed forces made significant gains in the Kharkiv region after capturing four settlements, the Russian Defence Ministry said. The units of its North group had made advancements deep into Ukrainian defences, seizing the settlements of Gatyshche, Krasnoye, Morokhovets, and Oleynikovo in the Kharkiv region, the ministry said in a statement, reports Xinhua news agency. Three Ukrainian brigades suffered heavy losses in the settlements of Degtyarnoye, Volchansk, and Kazachya Lopan in the Kharkiv region, losing up to 100 servicemen, two tanks, an armoured vehicle Kozak and four vehicles, it added. Israel approves purchase of 25 F-35 stealth fighter jets

Jerusalem, July 3, Israel has approved the purchase of 25 new F-35 stealth fighter jets from the US, the Defence Ministry said in a statement. The Ministry added on Sunday that the deal is valued at about $3 billion, which will be financed through the US defence aid package received by Israel. As part of the original agreement between the US and Israel, the aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin and the engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney have agreed to involve Israel's defence industries in the production of aircraft components. Those dividing Russia will be punished: Putin on alleged Wagner mutiny

Moscow, June 24 (IANS) Describing action of mutineers who want to topple Russia's military leadership as a "stab in the back", President Vladimir Putin on Saturday warned of inevitable punishment for those dividing the country, media reports said.
