Revealed: First glimpse of India’s C-295 aircraft that Airbus and Tatas will co-produce

New Delhi, March 3: India's first C-295 aircraft has rolled out of the Airbus defence production facility in the city of Seville, located in southern Spain. Images and videos of the military aircraft emerging from the Airbus Defence and Space's San Pablo site, which is home to the military transport activities and the Final Assembly Line (FAL) for the four-engine turboprop-powered A400M airlifter and twin-turboprop C295, have now gone viral on social media. BEL to enhance Indian coastal surveillance system

Bengaluru: The state-run Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) would strengthen the coastal surveillance system for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) to heighten the country's maritime security, an official said on Monday."The coastal surveillance system will be enhanced with 38 more radar stations and 5 command and control centres along the coastline for the ICG to step-up maritime security," an official of the city-based defence enterprise told IANS here. BEL commissions Real Time Information System for Railways

Bengaluru: Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has commissioned phase I information system to provide real-time train information to the Indian Railways and increase its operational efficiency, besides enhancing passenger safety, said the state-run company on Tuesday. "The system has been commissioned through the centre for railway information system, under the technical guidance of the space applications centre of the state-run Indian Space Research Organistion (ISRO)," said the city-based defence undertaking. The system also provides real-time positional information of locomotives to the railways.
