DRDO conducts flight test of new generation AKASH missile

New Delhi, Jan 12, Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Friday said that DRDO has successfully conducted a flight-test of the New Generation AKASH (AKASH-NG) missile. India successfully flight-tests new generation Akash Missile

New Delhi: India on Wednesday successfully flight-tested the new generation surface-to-air missile Akash Missile (Akash-NG) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) off the Odisha coast.The flight trial was conducted at around 12.45 p.m. from a land-based platform with all weapon system elements such as multi-function radar, command, control and communication system, and launcher participating in deployment configuration.
