Indian Navy’s INS Sumedha in Egypt for ‘Exercise Bright Star-23’

New Delhi, Sep 7, Indian Navy's INS Sumedha arrived at Port Alexandria, Egypt to participate in ‘Exercise BRIGHT STAR- 23’. This edition of the multinational Tri-Services military exercise will see participation from 34 countries. It is the largest ever joint military exercise in the Middle East and North Africa region, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) informed on Thursday. The ministry said that the exercise is scheduled to be conducted in two phases. DRDO identifies 108 systems and subsystems for industry to design, develop

New Delhi: Responding to the clarion call of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) said on Monday that 108 systems and subsystems would be developed in India, thus strengthening the indigenous defence ecosystem. A DRDO delegation has met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to apprise him about the 108 systems and subsystems which have been identified for designing and development by the Indian industry only. This initiative will pave the way for the Indian defence industry to develop many technologies towards building an 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.
