China advances plans for space solar power plant

Beijing: China has advanced its plans to launch a space solar power plant programme in 2028, two years ahead of the original schedule, according to a new paper. The nation, earlier, aimed to put a 1 megawatt solar energy station in space by 2030. Russia asks US why Mi-17 helicopters meant for Afghanistan are landing in Ukraine

UK to send first long-range missiles to Ukraine

London: British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace announced that the UK will send its first long-range missiles to Ukraine despite a threat by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the West against the delivery of these weapons to Kiev. In a statement late Sunday, Wallace said: "As Russia's tactics change, so must our support to Ukraine. Washington: A gunman killed 18 students and one adult at an elementary school in Texas in a second mass shooting in the US in the last 10 days.
