US ‘closely monitoring’ LAC situation after Tawang clashes

Washington, Dec 14 (IANS) The US said that it "strongly opposes" any unilateral attempt to advance territorial claims, adding that it is "closely" monitoring the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the aftermath of clashes between militaries of India and China in the Arunachal Pradesh sector. Indian soldiers successfully thwarted transgression by Chinese troops in Tawang sector: Rajnath

India successfully tests anti-tank guided missile Nag, ready for induction in Army

New Delhi: India successfully carried out the final trial of anti-tank guided missile -- Nag -- on Thursday. The missile will be inducted soon in the India Army. In 2008, Ministry of Defence approved procurement of 300 Nag missiles and 25 missile carriers for Army.
